The Experience
This half-day private tour weaves together AlUla's most iconic heritage sites with something no other tour offers: a genuine traditional Saudi meal, shared with stories of local culture, family traditions, and the hospitality that defines this region.
You'll visit Hegra — Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site — then stop at Maraya, explore the Old Town's ancient alleys, walk the living oasis, and end with a meal that brings the whole experience together. This is AlUla's heritage and its people, in a single afternoon.
The Hegra visit is managed by the Royal Commission for AlUla — the official site authority — with their own shuttle bus and licensed guide or audio guide inside. Everything else is private: your vehicle, your guide, your pace.

"Food is how AlUla's people share their history. Every dish has a story — and I want you to hear it."
— Abdullah, AlUla Destination Specialist

Stop 01
Hegra
Duration
2 hours

Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore ancient Nabataean tombs carved directly into rose-coloured sandstone cliffs — some of the best-preserved in the Arabian Peninsula. Your entry ticket and shuttle bus transportation inside the site are included.

A photo stop at the world's largest mirrored building. Surrounded by desert landscape, Maraya's mirror-clad facade reflects the mountains and sky in a way that feels almost surreal — a perfect moment to pause, breathe, and photograph.

A labyrinth of mud-brick houses, narrow alleys, and traditional souqs that tell the story of AlUla's centuries of continuous habitation. Your guide shares the stories behind the stones — the families, the trades, the daily life of a town that thrived for 900 years.

Walk through a living oasis that has sustained life in this desert valley for thousands of years. Date palms, citrus groves, and the scent of fresh water in the middle of the desert — a quietly extraordinary contrast.

End your journey with a traditional Saudi meal — a genuine expression of AlUla's hospitality. Abdullah shares stories of local food culture, family traditions, and the significance of the dishes you're tasting. This is not a tourist restaurant; it's the real thing.
